NPCIL Eligibility Criteria –

Educational Qualification for Stipendiary Trainee/ Technician NPCIL:

Post-Category – II Stipendiary Trainee/Technician (ST/TN) (Discipline: Plant Operator) – HSC (10+2) or ISC with Science Stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Subject) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Applicant should have studied English as one of the subjects at least at Matriculation/SSC (10th) Level.

Post-Category – II Stipendiary Trainee/Technician (ST/TN) (Disciplines: Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder) – SSC (10th) with minimum 50% marks in Science Subject (s) and Mathematics individually and 2 years ITI certificate in the relevant trade. For trades where the duration of the ITI course is less than 02 (two) years, the candidate should have at least 01 (one) year relevant working experience after completion of the course. Applicant should have studied English as one of the subjects at least at Matriculation/SSC (10th) Level.

Age Limit for NPCIL  (As on 29.06.2026) –

Stipendiary Trainee – 18 – 24 years

Relaxation of Upper age limit:

+5 Years for ST/SC

+3 Years for OBC (NCL)

Persons with Disabilities candidate:

+10 Years for UR

+13 Years for OBC (NCL)

+15 Years for ST/SC

For Ex-Servicemen Applicants: As per Govt. Policy

Pay Scale for NPCIL-

Stipend during first year of training – Rs.20,000/-per month

Stipend during second year of training – Rs.22,000/-per month

On successful completion of training – Level 3 Rs.34,720/-

Stage-1 Online Examination – Preliminary Test

Stage-2 Online Examination – Advanced Test

Stage-3 – Document Verification
