The preliminary and main written tests will be in MCQ format and will cover the topics listed in PART-A
and PART-B.
PART-A- General Ability Test
Syllabus- English grammar and vocabulary, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude.
PART-B- Technical Knowledge Test

1. Systems & OS- Operating Systems with emphasis on Linux, Shell environment, System services,
   Process & memory management.
2. Virtualization & Containers- Server virtualization, KVM/Proxmox basics, Docker containers,
   Kubernetes fundamentals
3. Cloud Computing- Cloud concepts, VM provisioning, Storage & networking in cloud, Identity &
   access management
4. Networking- TCP/IP fundamentals, Subnetting, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Routing basics, Firewalls, WiFi/LAN troubleshooting
5. Storage & Servers- RAID/LVM basics, File systems, NFS/SMB, Server deployment & monitoring
6. Automation & Scripting- Bash scripting, Python scripting for automation, Git basics, Configuration
   management fundamentals (e.g., Ansible)
7. HPC- cluster architecture, SLURM job scheduler, job scripts, accounting, GPU allocation, and
   troubleshooting

Skill/Trade Test
Test pattern- Lab experiments in a Linux environment.
