SBI Asha Scholarship Program 2026

The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship Program 2026-27 is a landmark Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) flagship initiative launched by the SBI Foundation. Designed to empower meritorious students from economically weaker sections across India, this nationwide scholarship scheme provides financial grants ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹20,00,000 (Up to ₹20 Lakhs) for different level of eduction starting from 9th Standard.

Under the 2026-27 notification, more than 10,000 scholarships will be awarded to deserving candidates pursuing studies from Class 9th through Class 12th, Undergraduate (BA, BSc, BCom, B.Tech), Postgraduate (MA, MSc, MCom), Professional courses at premier institutions (IITs, IIMs, AIIMS / MBBS), and even students pursuing Higher Education at top-ranked universities Overseas.

Special for Women Candidate – To promote gender equality in education, 50% of total scholarship seats are exclusively reserved for female students.

School Students – Class 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th – Total Rs. 15,000/year
Undergraduate – BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, B.Tech, Diploma – Rs. 75,000/year
Postgraduate – MA, MSc, MCom, MCA, M.Tech – Upto 1,50,000/- to Rs. 2,50,000/year
Premier IIT Students – B.Tech/ Dual Degree at NIRF top ranked IITs – Up to Rs. 2,00,000/year
Premier IIM Students – MBA/PGDM at Premier IIM institutions – Up to Rs. 5,00,000/year.
Medical (MBBS) – MBBS/ Medical degrees in Govt. & Recognized colleges – upto Rs. 2,00,000/- to Rs. 4,50,000/year
Overseas PG studies – Postgraduate degrees at QS top 100 foreign universities – up to Rs. 15,00,000/- to Rs. 20,00,000/year

Eligibility Crieteria for SBI Asha Scholarship 2026 –
Nationality- Applicant must be a citizen of India residing across any state or Union Territory.
Academic Qualification- Students must have secured a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent CGPA in their previous academic year exam (e.g. Class 8th marks for Class 9th applicant, Class 12th marks for UG applicant).
Family Income Limit- Gross annual household income from all sources must not exceed-
For School & General UG/PG Students- ≤ ₹3,00,000 (3 Lakhs) per annum.
For IIT, IIM, MBBS & Overseas Applicants- ≤ ₹6,00,000 (6 Lakhs) per annum.
Female Candidate Special Preference- 50% reservation guaranteed for girl students across all tiers.
Current Enrollment- Student must be enrolled in a recognized School, Board (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards), College, or University for the 2026-27 academic session.
