SSC General Duty Constable Syllabus

SSC GD (General Duty) Constable Examination is conducted by Staff Selection Commission every year to recruit staff to various personnel for constable posts in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles etc. Now SSC has released the official notification for Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. The examination is conducted in different successive tiers; the written test, Physical efficiency test, Physical measurement test and medical test. Here is the detailed Syllabus of SSC GD which includes General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, English/Hindi subjects as follows-

SSC GD Detailed Syllabus-
A. General Intelligence & Reasoning- Analytical aptitude and nonverbal reasoning include analogy, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding, and decoding etc.

B. General Knowledge and General Awareness- General Knowledge about India and neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, history, culture, geography, economics scene, general polity, Indian constitution and scientific research etc. The questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

C. Elementary Mathematics- Number system, Computation of whole numbers, decimals and fraction and relationship between Numbers Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, ratio and proportion, Averages, Interest, profit and loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work etc.

D. English/Hindi- Candidate’s ability to understand basic English/Hindi and basic Comprehension would be tested.
