This post is dedicated to all those aspirants who want to join Indian Army as a Nurse. To get admission to 4 years B.Sc. (Nursing) course at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services, a candidate (only female candidates) needs to clear the Indian Army BSc Nursing entrance examination. Well, that’s not all. Admission in Colleges of Nursing is also based on the vacancy in each college, merit cum choice and subject to medical fitness. Only after successful completion of training (four years), candidates will be appointed in the “Military Nursing Service, under the Terms and Conditions laid down for grant of Short Service Commission.” In this post, we have provided Previous year question papers of Military Nursing Service (MNS) along with the model test papers and notes for this exam. What is the qualification for MNS ?
All aspirants seeking for MNS Officer in Indian Army must have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 years schooling) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory/ Recognized Board/University/ Examination Body. Candidates who will be appearing for final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply provisionally. But the candidates finally selected for the course will have to submit proof of passing the qualifying examination with requisite subjects and marks before joining the course.

Age Limits – Less than 24 years (Born between 01 Oct 1995 and 30 Sept 2003, both days inclusive)
Physical Standard – Minimum acceptable Height for candidates is 152 cm with correlated weight. In case of North East candidates it will be relaxed by 4 cm i.e. minimum 148 cm.

Selection Procedure for Military Nursing Services Course
(1) Written Test – Eligible candidates will be called for a Objective type computer based examination of 90 minutes duration.
(2) Interview – Candidates as per merit on the basis of written test will be called for interview.
(3) Final Merit List – The final selection of candidates will be based on combined merit of written test & interview, subject to medical fitness.
(4) Medical Examination – Candidates who have cleared state I and State II of written test and interview will be followed by a medical examination.

How to apply for Indian Army B.Sc Nursing 2020 –
Visit the Indian Army official website
Click on the ‘Officers entry apply/ login’ tab to register and apply
For a new registration, candidates can click on ‘Registration’
Select the ‘Continue’ tab and complete the registration process by filling the mandatory fields (Aadhaar/ enrollment no, candidate name, father/ guardian name, mother’s name, date of birth and mobile no) and ‘Submit’
Now, provide the OTP received on your registered email ID and select the ‘Submit’ tab to continue
The next step is to fill the remaining mandatory fields and set the password
Now, click on the ‘Save’ button to continue
Proceed with ‘Communication Details’ and hit the ‘Update’ button

The registration process is done now. Candidates have to click on the ‘OK’ button as a pop-up message ‘Record saved successfully’ appears
Click on ‘Apply Online’ on the dashboard to fill the online application form
Here, candidates have to complete the remaining mandatory fields, upload signature, and photo (keeping the specifications as prescribed)

Take a look at all the details, click on the ‘Edit’ button if required and ‘Submit Now’
The next thing that applicants have to do is to release the payment through the link given on the payment screen. “Candidates are requested to make payment only after activation of the link which will take between 24-48 hours after registration”
After successful payment, enter the ‘DU reference number’ (provided by the bank after successful payment), select the written test center, and click on ‘Submit’ to complete the application process
What is the Salary of a Military Nurse?
All candidates after clearing her selection process will be admitted to 4 year Nursing course. After that they will be recruited to various defense hospitals as MNS Officer. They will get all the entitlement as per Central Government 7th CPC.
Monthly Basic Pay Rs. 15,600/- + Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/- + Allowances.
