IIG Mumbai Doctoral Programmes

Indian Institute of Geomagnetism offers Doctoral Programme in Geomagnetism and Allied Fields pertinent to studies of Solid Earth, Upper Atmosphere and Observatory Data Analaysis. Indian Institute of Geomagnetism is a recognized centre for conducting research leading to Ph.D degree awarded by following universities in the subject specified.

Qualification required – M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech.) in disciplines Physics/Geophysics/Space Physics/Applied Geology & Applied Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks throughout and Physics or Mathematics as a subject in B.Sc.
INSPIRE candidates having qualified PET or equivalent examination from the above mentioned Universities (1-7) in respective subjects can also apply. Those appearing for Master’s degree final year examination in the year 2021 may also apply.

IIG Mumbai Recruitment Notification 2020-21 Details – IIG invites applications for recruitment of 12 Professor E, Reader, Fellow, Senior Technical Assistant, Driver Posts. Pay Scale – Level 13 for Professor, Level 11 for Reader, Level 0 for Fellow, Lvel 6 for Senior Technical Assistant, Level 7 for Senior Hindi Translator and level 2 for Driver posts.
Application Fee – The candidates may apply on the form downloadable from the website www.iigm.res.in together with the requisite application fee of Rs. 300/- by crossed demand draft. The prescribed application form can also be obtained from the office of the Admin. Coordinator, IIG, by paying an application fee of Rs. 300/- by crossed demand draft in favour of Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, New Panvel, in person between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on working days (Monday to Friday). However, no application fee for SC/ST, PWD, women candidates and the candidates applying for the post of Senior Hindi Translator (Post No.9) on deputation. Filled in applications should reach the office of the Admin. Coordinator, IIG, on or before 15.01.2021. Any application received after the due date will be summarily rejected
