Eligibility Criteria for Management Trainees in Coal India-

Educational Qualification –

MT (Civil) (Post Code 11) – Degree in the relevant branch of Engg. With a minimum of Sixty Percentage marks

MT (Electrical) (Post Code 12) – Degree in the relevant branch of Engg. With a minimum of Sixty Percentage marks

MT (Mechanical) (Post Code 13) – Degree in the relevant branch of Engg. With a minimum of Sixty Percentage marks

MT (System) (Post Code 14) – Recognized 1st Class Degree in BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / I.T or any 1st Class Degree with MCA

MT (E&T) (Post Code 15) – BE/B.tech/B.Sc (Engg) in relevant branch of Engineering with minimum Sixty Percentage marks.

MT (Geology) (Post Code 16) – M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Geology or Applied Geology or Geophysics or Applied Geophysics with minimum Sixty Percentage marks

MT (Industrial Engineering) (Post Code 17) – Degree in the relevant branch of Engg. With a minimum of Sixty Percentage marks

MT (Industrial Engineering) (Post Code 18) – MA in Hindi with minimum Sixty Percentage marks, and Graduation with Hindi and English as main subjects with 50% marks

MT (Industrial Engineering) (Post Code 19) – Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institute having acquired Company Secretary qualification with Associate/ Fellow membership of ICSI. Preference would be given to those candidates who have worked in a listed Company

Age Limit for Management Trainee in Coal India as on 30.04.2026-

For General (UR) & EWS category – 30 Years

Age Relaxation – As per government norms.

Pay Scale –

Selected candidates will be placed as Management Trainee in E-1 Grade in the scale of pay of Rs.60,000 – 1,80,000/- at the initial Basic of  Rs.60,000/- per month during the training period.
