Junior Engineer (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical) recruitment 2020 Exam—Staff Selection Commission

SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment Notice 2020 – Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will be conduct a Combined All India Open Examination in 2020 for recruitment of the post of Junior Engineer (Civil and Electrical) in Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical) in Central Water Commission, Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in Department of Posts and Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) in Military Engineering Services (MES) at different examination centers viz.- Delhi, Jaipur, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Chennai, Puducherry, Kolkata, Port Blair, Gangtok, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Patna, Lucknow, Guwahati, Itanagar, Imphal, Shillong, Aizwal, Kohima, Agartala, Churachandpur, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Kavaratti, Raipur, Bhopal, Jagadalpur, Chandigarh, Jammu, Srinagar, Shimla, Baramula,. The details of the above said examination are as under:-

Name of the post – Junior Engineer (Civil)

Qualification – Candidate should have passed Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Name of the post – Junior Engineer (Electrical)

Qualification – Candidate should have passed Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Name of the post – Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)

Qualification – Candidate should have passed Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Three Years Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.

Name of the post – Junior Engineer (QS&C) MES

Qualification – Candidate should have passed Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Discipline- Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering
Pay Scale- Rs.9,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- + Grade Pay Rs. 4,200/-
Age Limit –
Not more than 32 yeas for Central water Commission & Central Public Works Department.
Not more than 27 yeas for Department of Posts.
Not more than 30 yeas for MES.
Note-
1. Extra 10 years relaxation applicable for Physically Handicapped category candidates.
2. As relaxation applicable for Ex- Servicemen category candidates as per Govt. Rules.
Application Fee-
Rs. 100/- for General & OBC category candidates.
No fee for women/SC/ST/PH/Ex-Servicemen category candidates.
Selection Procedure– Through written test.

Test Pattern- Staff Selection Commission—Junior Engineer Combined Examination pattern
The examination will be conducted in two stages:-

Written Test- 500 marks
Interview- 100 marks
Written Test will be consists of two papers:-

Paper-I (Objective Type) consists of following topics:-
(A) General Intelligence & Reasoning – 50 marks
(B) General Awareness- 50 marks
(C) General Engineering (Civil & Structural Engineering OR Electrical Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering)- 100 marks
Paper-II (Conventional Type)- Civil & Structural Engineering OR Electrical Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering)- 300 marks
Time duration for both of above papers two hours separately and will be conducted in a Single Day.
