Note –
1. For the above mentioned apprentices, reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories will be applicable as per provision of Apprentice Act 1961, Apprentice Rules, 1992 and Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2015.
2. The No. of apprentices mentioned above are only indicative and may change at a later stage depending on the final assessment of eligible applications received.
3. Candidates passed ITI from NCVT and SCVT only are eligible and should pass the qualifying exam
Selection Procedure for DRDO DMRL Hyderabad –
Candidates who have registered on www.apprenticeshipindia.org only will be accepted. The registration number is to be written while filling the application. The registration number will further be verified at the time of selection/document verification
How to apply in DRDO DMRL – Eligible candidates applications in specified format as per Annexure –II and along with scanned copies of required certificates/testimonials of 10th Class, ITI, Community Certificate may be send to the e-mail ID admin@dmrl.drdo.in on or before 31.03.2021. In the subject line of the email “Application for Apprentices- (Trade)” should be written. For example, candidates applying for Fitter should mention “Application for Apprentices- Fitter” in the subject line. Candidates are advised to check their emails periodically and keep the same active during the selection process. Emails submitted without application form will be rejected.

DMRL Hyderabad Research Fellowship 2020-21
Name of the post – Junior Research Fellow
No. of vacancies – 18
Qualification – BE/B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science and Engineering/Materials Science / Materials Engineering/Materials Technology with First Division. Desirable: Preference shall be given to those who have either M.Tech degree or GATE Qualified.
Fellowship – Rs. 31,000/- per month.
Age Limit – Not more than 28 years.

Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory Hyderabad Recruitment Notice 2016 – Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory was established at Hyderabad in 1963 to meet the needs of complex materials for modern defence applications with a mission to develop advanced materials, innovative process technologies and related product engineering supported by basic and applied research. The vision of DMRL Hyderabad is to be a centre of excellence for providing total material solutions for defence systems.
Applications are invited for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) at DMRL Hyderabad.
Name of the post – JRF (Metallurgy/ Material Science)
No. of vacancies – 03 posts
Qualification – B.E/B.Tech with first division in any of the following branches along with NET/GATE qualification
Metallurgical Engineering
Materials Science and Engineering
Materials Engineering
Materials Technology
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
OR
M.Tech/M.E in any of the above mentioned branches with first division at both degree and master degree level.
Desirable qualification – Preference may be given to those who have M.Tech degree in one of the above branches.
Name of the post – JRF (Physics)

Qualification – M .Sc in Physics with fist division along with NET/GATE qualification
Desirable – Prior research experience in educational or R& D organization.
Name of the post – Research Associate (Metallurgy/ Materials Science)
No. of vacancies – 01 post
Qualification – Ph.D in any of the above mentioned branches. OR M.E/M.Tech with first division in any one of the above mentioned branches with three years of research, teaching or design and development experience with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal.
Desirable – Preference may be given to those having a Ph.D degree.
Name of the post – Research Associate (Physics)
No. of vacancies – 02 posts
Qualification – Ph.D in Physics.
Desirable – Prior research experience in the field of materials science.
Stipend – Junior Research Fellows will be offered a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/- per month and Research Associate will be offered a monthly stipend of Rs. 40,000/- per month.
Age Limit – Not more than 28 years & 35 years for JRF & RA respectively. The age is relaxable for SC/ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India rules.
Selection Procedure – The selection committee shall interview candidates to assess their aptitude for research work, clarity of concepts, spirit of scientific inquiry, analytical reasoning, range of scientific and technical knowledge and capacity to grasp application of knowledge etc.

Note –
- The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an interview at DMRL, Kanchangagh, Hyderabad – 500 058 and should carry a hard copy of the application form along with the testimonials. Interview date and time will be informed in due course by E-mail.
- Candidates will be required to produce all certificates/ testimonials, community certificate, if applicable, in original during interview. They must also bring a set of attested photocopies of all testimonials along with two recent colour passport size photographs during interview.
- The candidate need to produce an original Photo identity proof such as Adhaar Card/ PAN Card/ Driving License/ Passport/ Voter Id etc. at the time of interview.
How to reach DMRL Hyderabad – Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL) is situated in Kanchanbagh which is about 17 kms from Secunderabad Railway Station, 12 Kms from Hyderabad Railway Station and about 21 kms from Hyderabad airport. DMRL can be reached by bus No. 102 from Secunderabad Station and bus no. 102A, 102B, 203, 251M, 102M & 102P from Koti, Women’s College.
